The funny thing about advertising is that it seems to me to be expensive for the exposure that you get. TV for instance, is wildly expensive, and you stand a good chance of missing a fair few of the possible customers just because of the fact that not everyone will be watching the particular channel at the time when the ad runs. Also, once the ad has run, that is it, as far as getting value for your dollar. A far better way to go is something that has more permanence. Take for instance a pocket knife, or even the old faithful, a pen. In my opinion, the pen is not as good as the knife, as everyone tends to ignore or more accurately accept, advertising that is written on a pen. So, I prefer promotional items that have a uniqueness to them. And when used, the logo or whatever will be seen as a fresh item, and I believe that this increases the advertising value of such things.
