Public Holidays Are Great!
It is great to get 3 days off all in a row.
When I worked for a boss instead of being self-employed, the company used to try to force people to work, but now I am my own boss, I plan the work so I cover things without too much stress.
Just by juggling timing of business visits, I can still give a good impression as well as good service, and at the same time fit in some good family time.

Grohe Faucets At Faucets.com
I just love some of the kitchen faucets at faucet.com. They have a feature that I have noticed on the newer designs where the actual pipe that the water flows from, I suppose it is called the spout, is very high compared to older designs. One of the irritations in life, apart from my Hubby, (I wasn't complaining when he rescued me after I locked the car keys in the trunk and was stranded!) is the low design of our kitchen faucet here at home. There is a manufacturer called Grohe that has some good designs, I especially like the brushed stainless steel look that they have on some models.

Diet Pills Reviewed
Here is an interesting web address - http://diet-pills.sybervision.com/ notice that there is no 'www', but instead there are the words diet pills. That is the first time I have seen that. The address actually leads to a website where they claim to have the "diet pill that works". Actually they review a few different pills and even review the online price compared to the retail price. Big difference there! They list the top 5 in diet pills, so if you are currently buying your pills locally, it might be interesting to see if there is a different product available that might suit you more, or even the same product that you are currently using, only at a better price.

A Late Monday Start
One of the great things about being self-employed is that it is often possible, within reason, to juggle the hours around. I believe that in offices they call it flexi-time, where the hours per week have to be met, but you can choose when you work.
So, this is especially useful on a Monday, when I can go in late, and have already arranged for a light work load as I have made it so some of the work waits until Tuesdays.
The only problem is that it will make me lazy, and I tend to try to put everything off, which is no good at all! And that is why I have a diary type day planner, so I don't miss anything.

Home Furniture
Because of now having a business, in order to make the most of the tax situation, I have to set up an office, and so what better then an office at home? Most of the work I do at home now is work related anyway, so it will be good to have a properly allocated space that is equipped with office furniture rather than home furniture.

Oh no!
I really don't want to admit that summer is almost over. I haven't really had a real vacation this year, just some weekend get-aways. My son is complaining that it's not enough. I still wanted to take him out, even at another water park or something, before his vacation ends. We are looking for school supplies' list already for him. I know, it's a little too soon to say it, but I really don't want to buy his stuff at the last minute.

Lawyers Specializing In Cerebral Palsy Cases
Workplaces, medical institutions, and insurance companies have gotten very good at finding ways not to pay out for injuries as they perhaps legally should, by delaying, and raising what in reality are silly questions, anything to delay the process, and hold back the payments presumably to save interest money. They have lawyers advising them, of course, and the way to deal with this is to have your lawyer working for you in preventing them from messing around with the whole issue, and get the money to where it rightfully should be, which is paid to the injured party in order to assist with care. This is particularly true with cerebral palsy when it is caused by medical malpractice, as the liability amounts are generally very high, with the opposition very severe, thus making the assistance of cerebral palsy lawyers an essential.

Caribbean Cruises! Way To Go!
One of the great things about the Caribbean is that it is so local to the USA. The culture is definitely foreign in a totally different way than, say, Mexico. Especially if you are located on the east coast, the flight time is really very small. The cost too, because of the short flight, is generally very reasonable. But, how about something a bit more exciting? There are Caribbean cruises departing from Florida and the Gulf states, and they are designed to suit whatever you wish to do in the way of experiencing sandy beaches, or maybe enjoying the luxury of a change of scene.

Outdoor Furniture Covers
There are probably only a few more weeks of this summer left now, and we will be into fall . But, we can all look forward to another summer next year though, as they have done for thousands of years! To really relax with your patio furniture, it is a great idea to use outdoor furniture covers during the fall and winter months. Saves the moving of your patio furniture into storage even if you have the space. Also a good idea for apartment residents who need to leave things outside on the deck.

Home Theater Systems Add To Viewing Pleasure
Buy.com are becoming a more and more established name in internet retailing, or shopping online, or whatever you might like to call it.
Right now they have some good combinations in the way of home theater equipment. Having a good sound system such as the ones that are named home theater can really enhance the viewing experience, especially as far as the deeper sounds go. Makes the sound easier to hear as well.

There Has To Be Trust In A Marriage!
Yes, it is a fact that there has to be trust in a marriage. For instance, I am not Arlene, I am her Hubby, and I have just found out that she left herself logged in, so I could do some really weird things if I wanted to.
But, there has to be trust. I am retired, she is working, so I have to trust her not to get ticked off with me for taking over this blog post entry! And I have to trust her to buy my food!
Now, I am not suggesting that I would ever do this, but I could pretend to be her, and say all kinds of stuff (or should that be 'stuffs', hehehe) about the neighbours, then email them the link from her email address, which she also left open.
But if I did so, I might not be able to eat, and might get cut with a knife in the night or something......
Yes, there has to be trust......
But I can be just a little bit naughty, and give you my link, just in case you haven't visited my blogs yet.

Hehehe!

Stylish eyeglasses

Eyeglasses seem to have 2 expenses, getting the eye exam, and then buying the actual glasses. A retailer called Zennioptical has Incredible Stylish New Frames From Zenni online and have some good deals with their prescription Zenni Optical $ 8 Rx Eyeglasses that it went to national levels as they ended up creating such a stir that Zenni Optical was on FOX news!

Happy to sit down here
I am finding it difficult to find time to blog these days. I am really busy with work. It is getting very rare for me to sit down and blog. Today though, hubby did part of my work so here I am sitting in front of the computer. So nice to finally get into action here. I have a lot of events to blog about here. I am hoping I can blog about them to remind me one day.

The Great American Sea Food Cook Off.

I just love shellfish chowders. And this weekend there will no doubt be plenty of dishes like that at the seafood cook off in New Orleans. It is not actually just a cook off, but is "The Great American Seafood Cook off" and I am willing to bet that I could match the expert chefs who will be there from many different states competing in the cook off. I really do like cooking but don't get a lot of time for it these days, what with having my business. But my secret is in the sauce!
As many people know, shellfish are probably a more sustainable resource than regular fish, and are a key factor in adding to the positiveness of domestic seafood sustainability, particularly as by nature, they are filtering the water and improving water quality and cleanliness as they consume nutrients. Another great thing about seafood is the market chain - it is very common to have the seafood ultimately consumed near to where the catch is landed by the boat. So possibilities for processing contamination are less than with red meats, or even poultry. The source is known, it is local and fresh.
