I took this photo earlier in the month from my flower bed. I thought this is a lovely kind of tulip. It's different. Sort of a lily, I think. It's very short too. These has been in the property since we got the place almost 10 years ago. I haven't seen these kind of tulip anywhere, so I think I will spread them out so I'll have lots of them next spring.

As your husband it is my job to help you out whenever I can. So, I believe that I know what kind of tulip this is. It has the Latin Name :
Tulipicus Neerly Deadicus
This is a sub-species that just before dying, opens up, known among botanists as 'arousal', to allow the bees to enter more easily, and pollinate the plant.
But, a bigger question in my mind, is, why am I posting silly comments on your blog, instead of just waiting until you get home from work, then I could tell you. On the other hand, Nahh. The blog comment is funnier.
