My cute nephew
THEME: DIRTY

He loves to play, he runs around the house and loves to play the computer. That's my ever cute nephew! I have never seen him in person yet and I am dying to hug him and see him someday. He is the life of the house back home as of today. Ever so naughty! He loves to doodle and for today's photo hunt, dirty, I hunted this photo of him caught after hours of playing with crayons. His hands were a mess afterwards!

Preparing for a good start
There is nothing I want for my son but the best. It's a cruel world out there, it's survival of the fittest as they say. It's always best to prepare your kids for the world the best you can in order for him to survive on his own. I don't believed my son has the highest training there is. I would love for him to get some tutoring if possible. He could always do better in Math although he is not that bad on this, but I think he is not challenged enough. I would love to get some homework help too.

Have you heard about tutorvista.com? It's a world class online tutoring site and it's just a click away. They offer a one-on-one tutoring for students to excel in school or college. This could be the help I need when I go back to school. A good help for my son, that's for sure. They have affordable rate with unlimited tutoring in all subjects for a month. They have tutors who have graduate degrees, undergo months of training and they are available 24x7 that means they can offer personalized online tutoring and homework help services by expert tutors.

Down Under
Australia's biggest attraction is it's natural beauty. It's one of the most diversed place on earth. From it's endless sun baked horizons to dense tropical rain forest to chilly southern beaches. Scattered along the coasts, it's cities blend a European enthusiasm for art and food with a laid-back love of sport and the outdoors. Imagine, going to see a sophisticated opera in Sydney one night and meet Crocodile Dundee the next night!

Any time is a good time to be in Australia. Plenty of things to do, places to visit. I would love to go visit there someday. There's a lot of good deals on hotels right now too if you are interested to visit Australia. Check out this beautiful Hotels in Sydney, or if you are looking at some good night out with your partner, Melbourne is the place to be!It is the second largest city in Australia and offers some of Australia’s best cuisine for eating and drinking, historic arcades full of boutiques and cafes. Check out Hotels in Melbourne. One of the fastest growing city of Australia if Brisbane. With it's cheap and affordable living, no wonder a lot of migrants and tourist go there. It's a great place to get away for a weekend with it's great climate. Check out Hotels in Brisbane for great deals on accommodations.

The Next Internet Millionaire!
Hey folks! As many of you know, I have been writing blogs for quite sometime now. I met a lot of sensible friends here and not only did I practiced my writing ability, I made some cash doing this. Well, there is a new show on TV coming really soon about making money on the internet. It's actually a reality show. It's called The Next Internet Millionaire. I am an avid fan of the Survivor and The Amazing Race, and i know I will love this show where twelve people compete for a $25,000 cash prize. "The Next Internet Millionaire" is a groundbreaking series for both reality fans and people who want to learn how they can make money online!

Our freedom!

Since my family came over here from PI, John and I took advantage of it by going out two to three times a week.Even just going out after supper at night, we would take the opportunity. We went out again last night for a couple of hours, went to Tim Hortons for a coffee and drive around a friend's house. This is one of the things I love about having someone at home to look after my boy so hubby and I could go out and about. I have no problem now to go out and worry about going home early to be there for him:)

Lamps
My family had grown now since they moved here from PI. And certainly, my need for a bigger house has now one of the options we are looking at. At some point soon, we need to move to the city where public transportation is available. With all the people here at home, getting 5 cars is not an option!

Getting a new or 'newer' house is certainly a big step for us. And of course, an exciting step! One of the things I love about moving to a new place is getting new stuff! Accessorizing the house is the one I am looking forward to. Seen this gorgeous lamps online. Oh yeah! that's one of the things I would buy once we moved, I have to get all new, modern stuff. It looks very classy. At farreys.com, you can get all the lamps and lamp accessories on line. No need to go out to the store. They have ceiling lamps, floor lamps and all kinds of torchieres to choose from online. From contemporary to traditional designs, they have it all! You could even customized your fans by using their fan search feature to quickly find the right fan for your decor.

This is pretty neat! what does your hand say about you?
What Your Hands Say About You

You are logical, analytical, and rational. You have good verbal skills.

Flexible and broad minded, you can fit in to any situation. There's no telling where your life will take you.

Consistent and reliable, you like to count on structure and routine in your life.

Your emotions tend to be nervous and potent. Your energy - both positive and negative - deeply impacts your life.

The future is here!

I am pretty sure that most of us now are familiar with LCD digital photo frames. The coolest way to share photos at home or in the office. Since we have these digital cameras, we had stopped developing photos and just storing them in the pc which is annoying when you have to gather all your friends and relatives in front of the computer and open hundreds of files to show off our photos. Unlike before where we have to print the really best one for the photo frame to display in any corner of our house, now we can load as many photos to this digital frame! It's so stylish and a better way to share photos. Check out this digital picture frame online. They are so adorable. Perfect gifts for any occasions. You can get one up to 10" with a free 256 MB SD memory card. I have in mind to buy one these one of these days:)

As have mention before, we went to this wedding held at the park last Saturday, I was really thinking of uploading some photos but i couldn't access the computer in the living room where we store the photos. I have been using the computer here in my bedroom to do my usual blogging and checking emails. I still have to wait for some photos my friend took from her digital camera. She took a load of photos too.

A mother's worry..
Arvin is going to a different school next month. The "bigger" school. He will enter the high school level and it's always an exciting new things for him to explore. It's like his ever first day of school, a lot of new people, teachers and students to meet. It's so different for him for the last 6 years, because he knew the teachers and classmates since he was in primary. But going to high school is so different. The fact that it's a completely new school, he's also going to be one of the freshmen. I am not sure how he would react with older kids there and I am just hoping that he won't end up with the wrong crowd. Every time I passed by that bigger school in the morning to dropped Arvin off, I could see teenagers smoking outside the building and who knows what else they have been doing after school. I am hoping that Arvin won't end up like that.

You will never know who they are going meet and become acquainted in a new place. It's always a worry to me especially when you hear a lot of kids who are good kids(as the parents describes them), ends up with wrong friends and led the wrong road. I am talking about wrong drugs used. Even alcoholism. I feel so bad with parents who have problems with their kids who uses drugs and alcohol because they are dared by fellow friends or because they are having problems at home. This is one of my worries as a mom, I am hoping that this will never happened to us. Although, there are help around for any addiction treatment, it's still best if we could prevent it. But if you or someone you know is struggling with the disease of drug addiction or alcoholism, try dialing 1-800-NO-DRUGS. It's a free, non-profit portal for finding a long or short-term drug rehabilitation program that is right for your particular needs. There is never a charge for a referral, and they are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is very important to support this people who are in recovery because they require constant vigilance by someone they trust and of course, their dedication, and even then they cannot completely abstain on their own. There has to be a support group, a safety net for the addict to rely upon, to call on in times of need or temptation. There should be well informed individuals at hand to help if and when it is required. So check www.1800nodrugs.com, they have compassionate and knowledgeable drug rehabilitation placement staff to help you.

My 'lil guy

I am still in disbelief that Arvin is going to be in high school next month. He grew up so fast. School is almost here and we have to do a lot of serious shopping for school supplies, especially clothes for him this next week or so. Lucky me, Arvin is not into serious branded clothing yet(hopefully he won't be), otherwise I'll surely be broke!

All about your credit!

When I first arrived in the country, hubby had pursue me to get my own credit card with as little limit as possible just to establish my credit. It made me happy when I got my first credit card with a minimum of $500. It did the trick alright, my credit score went up as I used the card and pay it back a week later, but after a year or so, I have tons of offers from credit card companies. Offers about no fee balance transfers(which, i don't know at the time), I applied to most of them and got instant results, with massive limits on them. What a great feeling that was. But of course, owning credit cards is very tempting. I sometimes use it to purchase movie tickets, which is ok if you will pay it back the next day, but if you will wait after the grace period, you're in trouble! And once you're hooked, it's hard to stop. Of course, the same as everything else, knowing what you're doing is a good thing. Educating yourself with credit cards is your best way to avoid all the tricks these companies have. Most of us doesn't even read the terms and condition of the card. They are very small prints and who have time to dig all the 10 pages they'll give you, right?.If you are interested in knowing the truth about credit card and no fee balance transfer, check out, thetruthaboutcreditcards.com. Tons of educational tips. I have learn a lot from this site.

Keep walking
I received this forwarded email from a friend yesterday and I thought, its interesting. My mom is a believer of reflexology. I work in a job on my feet all day and let me tell ya, when I get home the first thing I would do is ask my mom to massage my feet, and men! what a feeling!!!

The Organs of your body have their sensory touches at the bottom of your foot, if you massage these points you will find relief from the aches and pains. As you can see the heart is on the left foot.
Typically, they are shown as points and arrows to show which organ it connects to. It is indeed correct since the nerves connected to these organs terminate here. This is covered in great details in Acupressure studies or textbooks.

We are made to walk so that we will always be pressing these pressure points and thus keeping these organs activated at all times.

So keep walking!

A must-have!
My husband is really into car, and what a car-lover needs is a really nice garage, with all his precious possessions in there. Having a garage is a must-have in a house, especially in the winter time when the forecast is few feet of snow. Having a garage could be a good thing, but sometimes, it's so cluttered with junk, that you can't even get your car in there anymore. So it's always nice to keep it tidy and clean and with the help of stainless steel cabinets, it would be so much easier to store precious stuff. 18 gauge heavy duty stainless steel makes these cabinets tough enough to stand up to anything.

Tag about mom
10 Ramdom Things About My Mother

I had been tagged by cousin, Jenny a million days ago and I haven't had the time to do it. But today, I finally decided to do this one. So sorry if it took me so long. And I won't be tagging anybody, any of your guys wants to do this, please do so..Anyways, it's a tag about mothers, just random things about them and here's what I can say about my ever beloved mom..

1. A funny person. She always brings the laughter out of you. Her laughter is very contagious. I could repeat her jokes but I won't get the same response compare to when she tells them.

2. She always looks on the bright side of things. One thing I love about her is she will always lift you up. Always finds way to make your day.

3. She loves clothes and shoes very much. She would never wear shoes if it's not high heeled.

4. She puts on her make up as soon as she gets up in the morning. Her thinking is, you will never know when people knock on your door, so always be prepared:)

5. Mom loves photos, she just arrived 2 months ago and she has the most picts taken already:)LOL

6. A very workaholic woman. I don't remember her working for someone else. She always have her own business for as long as I remember. We survived somehow(don't know how!) with her own lil business.

7. Well, mom loves to be the center of attention! She loves the compliments!!(oh yeah!LOL) Just recently, she sang in stage during our town's day. Here's the lil clip I uploaded:)

8. Mom cries really easily, (same as Auntie-jenny's mom)...i guess it runs in the family.

9. She is confident about herself. She could talk to anybody. You won't see her just sits in the back on any functions, she would mingle with people and be part of the party.

10. She is a people's people. If she could run in an election, she would probably wins:) Mom has always been there when people needs her most. She would even go as far as going to the mayor's house to ask for support even if it's nothing to do with her. She had helped a lot of people whenever there's a need. Her dreamed has always been to help the poor and the needy.

Our weekend..
PART 1

I was off Friday, Saturday and Sunday this past weekend. It was a little hectic as always, but this time, it was a little special. One of my friends got married last Saturday and it was my first time to witness a wedding done in a sort of wooded area gazebo. They picked to be united in a public park, sort of inside a walking trail, where stood a nice gazebo. It was really pretty. I helped another friend to decorate the gazebo, 2 hours prior to the ceremony(nobody will 'guard' the place if we will decorate it way advanced the time). It was hectic indeed! It didn't took as that long though. The decorator doesn't really wanna 'over decorate' the place, doesn't wanna compete with the wooded theme. Just some white swooped curtains and flowers. (photos soon)....

For a good cause
I have owned some few cars since I've been here and owning 'newer' car certainly brightens my day and gives me the satisfaction that I deserves. There is nothing like owning another 'new car'. It will give you something to show off from your hard work. It'll certainly makes you feel like a million bucks.

Although, a lot of people doesn't know how to get rid of their old cars. Some may sell it or trade it, but it's not that easy to sell a car especially if your car is not so reliable anymore and if you are targeting people who doesn't know how to fix cars. And I think, most of the people around only rely on mechanics to maintain their car. So selling it to them is not a good idea. Well, there is one easy way to get rid of your old car and it makes you feel like you had helped the needy! Donate it to charity! yes! charity! and carangel.com is the place to be!Car Angel is a Christian Non-Profit that helps Orphans, at-risk youth and the homeless with donations of cars, boats, property and houses. What's the advantage?

Receive your IRS tax deduction for the automobile, RV, boat, plane, or trailer.
Avoid time-wasting Department of Motor Vehicles paperwork and smog certificate problems.
They do free vehicle pick-up, running or not! (restrictions apply).
No expensive want ads, taking phone calls, showing the car, or price haggling.
You can cancel your insurance the same day and keep your license plates.
They have the nations fastest online response form and up to the minute tax advice.
They'll handle title work and repair negotiations!

Especially if you are in LA, you can Donate Your Car In Los Angeles. It doesn't matter how many miles it has, they can use it! Los Angeles Car Donations is one of the best idea you can do with your old car. So Donate your vehicle to Car Angel today, and help the underprivileged.
They also have Free DVDs for Kids.

Matud Nila:)
We celebrated the town's day with a parade in the morning followed by hot dogs and BBQ at the rink, then at 1pm shard the domino man was ready to show off his 10,000plus domino's which was amazing to watch. We went home that afternoon in preparation for the cabaret(an international food sampling event) that night.

We we're supposed to cook spring rolls and noodles for the sampling that night but I was so busy i didn't have time to volunteer. This is the first year that the Philippines didn't served any. A lot of people were expecting our spring rolls.
But all of us were there to just eat some food. My first year also to try all the food from different countries. Mom was supposed to sing any Filipino song for the public that night. So after we ate, we sat down and waited for her number as we teased her around to make her feel a little comfy.

Row

Theme: row

This photo was taken last month at the rink, the only photo I can scavenged for this week's theme, row! A guy displaying 10,000plus domino's in celebration of the town's day. Unfortunately, this was the only good photo we got because the person holding the camera was busy watching the domino's;)

New Look!
Finally! After months of no updates on the look, I was able to change this blog! I was dying to change this for months now, but i haven't had the chance. I was debating between going for a girlie look and going for a neutral, cool colours. Well, in the end, I just went for just plain white. Simple. I did try a load of colours, but I was getting upset about it, so what the heck! this is good for now until I get bored again:)I didn't get the header straightened out neither. I spent a good hour or more looking for a good theme for the header, i got frustrated with it again and just went with, well, that! Well, at least it's new!LOL!

The UK
Have you ever watched a soccer match? Well, if you are a fan of the sport and you happened to have a plan to go for a visit in the UK, you don't wanna miss the English Premier League!Watching this football match is a must for any sports fan while in Britain. Being in a place full of supporters is enough to get you in the mood to watch the game. You can just feel the excitement and the anticipation in the air!

If you happen to be going to London, home of soccer clubs such as West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur, then check out Hotels in London for the lowest cost hotels there are. You might be preferring to tour the North, and then watch a match featuring the famous Manchester United, then stay overnight in Manchester Hotel to join in the fan activity.
In the Midlands, visit Liverpool, home of both The Beatles and of course Liverpool Football Club - plenty to do, and good places to stay at low cost, by looking Liverpool Hotel .

Spelling
Being raised in the Philippines has it's advantage, especially with perfecting one's writing, english grammar, well, basically the whole thing , but especially with spelling words. I am kinda perfectionist myself when it comes to writing and spelling words up until I've been writing using computers, because they have this spelling checker. So life is easy! lol....but sometimes, I still make mistakes. I took the spelling test yesterday and received, 87% with 1 wrong answer. I have to admit, I am kinda lazy now and doesn't take my time to double and triple check my work.. a lot of opps to take for me to double check my writing even..hehehe...

Summer to remember
I have a lot of things to be thankful this year. I am hoping this is the year that will start it all! It started slow and hopeful. Late spring was the start of good news coming my way, seeing lil sis again. Then soon after that, I have the good news from my bro that their visas were issued and finally were able to come.

So this summer, I took them out as much as I can.Exploring the place, going to the beach and water parks, etc. Well, summer is not over yet, so I am hoping I could still take them out some more. Being with them together this summer and hopefully for more summer to come, is the best way, for me, to spend the summer here. It's definitely a year to remember!

Hmmm...
I don't know where to begin!!! I have interesting stuff to blog but I haven't have the time to sit and actually blog it. We've been out and about a few times, been to the Tall Ships, been to some parties, been to parks and water parks and pools. I have all this scenarios in my mind and really wants to write it down as soon as I get home but unfortunately, I will get sidetracked and will just forget about blogging. I awe it all to my family who are here now from the Philippines.I haven't seen them in person for almost 8 years and I forgot how fun it is to be with them, I mean really fun:) Whenever we get together around the table or just watching TV, there's no way you wouldn't laugh until you are almost out of breath. It's just so much different when you're surrounded with your own family.
