Preserving your wealth...
It's always been known that the best way to preserved your wealth is to purchase gold and silver. They are sold at Monex Deposit Company(MDC). It has been proven that dollar fluctuates its value unlike gold and silver and other precious metals and coins that preserves and maintains their values! Buying gold has been recognized for centuries as one of the best ways to preserve one’s wealth and purchasing power. Gold bullion is a unique investment. With our unstable world, being prepared for the future is always a good way, having silver and gold will definitely preserve your wealth. At Monex Deposit Company, you can acquire them in an ingot form which is generally in a form of bullion cast in a convenient shape and size. You can even arrange to have a safe storage or have it delivered safely if you purchase from them. Now is the right time to buy some because there is a huge demand for silver that exceeds to its annual production since 1990!

They are finally here!

We were really busy last week preparing for the coming of my parents and lil bro. They stayed in Manila for a few days before leaving the Philippines. Last time I talked to them before their flight was on Tues, 4pm Atlantic time to wake them up. And I did not hear their voices until Wednesday 9pm, so that was a little scary when they were late phoning here.(None of them got a cell phone!) I know they only have 2 hours to go through immigration and customs before their next plane leaves. So was I ever glad to hear from them. They said the flight was fine but it was just so long. They are now getting used to the time here, though, sometimes, they still wake up around 2-3 in the morning....check out the video I made here!!!

Are you a Survivor??
Surviving in this world doesn't just mean being stuck in a deserted place or island, with no food and shelter. You could just be stranded in an unknown city with no money or resources. Men, that would be a bomber! I was asked by a stranger not too long ago for money because he got stuck in town and ran out of gas. I felt so sorry for him but I did not have cash on me at the time. He looked pretty descent though, I was thinking it was just a bad day for him. Of course, you never know nowadays. I could not imagine being stranded in a city. But what if that will happened to me?? what if I got stuck in an unfamiliar city with nothing at all? Of course I would be very nervous and I would think that I will panic really quickly. How would I eat? Well, I think I will look for any fast food's back door and wait for them to dump unwanted/extra food.:) I would probably ask for money from strangers to get me some water. Where would you sleep? that would be a hard question to answer, but I will probably looked for government shelters and ask if I can stay there especially if you will consider the weather.I am not sure if I will survive like that but it would be a very challenging situation.

There is a show called USA Network's Burn Notice that will premier on Thursday,JUNE 28 10/9C which stars Michael Weston, a CIA Operative, who will show us how he deals with a similar situation. It would an interesting show to watch. Another summer favourite! You can check some previews at here!

My day today
It's so cloudy today and I feel so lazy. I have to go to work tonight, first day of the week! Not looking forward to doing it, but I have to, hehehe...not a lot of choice right now. I did a lot this weekend though...i did some gardening and we cleaned the house a bit ready for my family this Wednesday. Hopefully, everything will go according to the plan. They should be here on Wednesday, around 11:50pm. I am just praying they'll have a safe journey. Lil bro is excited as hell, he can't wait to be here. Arvin is so excited too, can't wait to see his Lola again. A lot of mom's friends were asking about her coming. They were asking if she can sing again on the town's day. She had a blast participating that day. Wearing Filipino custom and singing bisayan song. The audience was just in silence when she started singing!hahaha...

Orlando
Every time my son watch TV and see the add for Orlando and it's great theme parks, his eyes will just lit up! He's been dreaming of going there since he was 5. So did I! It's one place I promise of taking him no matter what age he's gonna be. They are constantly doing upgrades, continuously adding new rides and new attractions so now it's even more exciting to go. With 52 theme parks so far, you can't just go wrong! Not only does they have the great theme parks, beaches are also within 40 minutes drive. They have the Disney World of course, and they also have great golf courses. I think they have it all!!!...And check out Orlando vacation villa rentals which offers outstanding vacation homes for less than most other popular destination places. Most of these villa rentals are just few minutes to all the attractions and offers the privacy of being at home. So weather it's spending time for Christmas, Spring Break or summer break, Orlando is the place to be for the whole family!

conversation w/ mom
I was just on the phone with my mom who is now in Manila on the way here with my dad and youngest bro, Ican. They arrived in Manila last Friday and will be leaving for Canada on Wednesday. This is Ican's first flight and he said he was a bit nervous but he's looking forward to fly on a bigger plane. They had a good time in Manila so far, my Aunt received them with open arms and took them to Mall of Asia and Market-market. Mom said she saw Piolo in the mall, hehehe...She said she was able to get his attention and they exchanged smiles. They visited some friends and relatives there too and had their CFO seminar this morning, so that's all and done with. So now, all they have to do is wait for Wednesday^-^.....

Our Father's Day
We woke up late yesterday, waken by a ring on the phone. It was Lee, greeting hubby for father's day. Arvin was already in the computer playing when we wake up. He had greeted John too. We planned on going to Multicultural Festival in Darthmouth yesterday. It was a perfect day to go, the sun was out and it was father's day. I planned this for the last 3 weeks. But John decided we go to the beach, away from the crowd. It was his call because it was father's day, so that's where we went.:)...I was up for anything yesterday, as long as we go out. I was kinda disappointed from not being able to go to the multicultural festival, but we did have a good time at the beach. The weather was perfect but the water was still freezing. There were a lot of people taking a walk and some kids are in the water. Some brave kids, huh? I only dipped by feet and run back out, hehehe...it was just a bomber we didn't bring our camera:(

PPP
I really love Pay Per Post. They are the leading marketplace for advertisers to reach to bloggers, who in turn, help promotes their services and products. With their continued success, they announced today that they received a $7M investment. Way to go, PPP! This investment will be very useful for the growth of PPP!Another success!!! I am not surprised that PPP, in just a short time, leads in this industry. I do believed that this the way to go for advertisers to reach a lot of potential audience. They have also help me, as a blogger, to earn money while giving feedbacks and reviews to advertisers.

PayPerPost recently released PayPerPost Direct, a disruptive new service that allows advertisers to contract and negotiate directly with individual bloggers they identify through a safe, managed system. Check out this blogger directory .

Just today, Ted Murphy, chief executive officer of PayPerPost, have announced a 7 day promotion called Lucky 7's to celebrate the funding. Between noon today and noon next Tuesday they will be releasing $7k in PPP Opps! They will all be $10.77, $70 or $700! You will be allowed to take one of each, so you don't have to worry to take the $10.77 Opps... you can still grab a big money Opp if it pops up on your screen. These Opps will not be segmented and are available to all users. So yey! keep checking your screen!

Blogging Marketplace Secures $7 Million Series B

Draper Fisher Jurvetson leads round and joins Board of Directors

ORLANDO, FL – (June 12, 2007) – PayPerPost, the leading marketplace for advertisers to reach bloggers and other consumer content creators, today announced it has completed a $7 million second round investment led by Draper Fisher Jurvetson, an investor in the company's Series A and one of the world’s leading high-technology venture capital firms. The financing brings the total amount of capital raised by PayPerPost to over $10 million, giving the company considerable resources for further development as the industry’s leading Consumer Generated Advertising marketplace. Additional participants in the round include existing investors Inflexion Partners and Village Ventures as well as new investor DFJ Gotham. With this investment, DFJ Managing Director Josh Stein also joins PayPerPost’s Board of Directors.

“PayPerPost created this exciting new advertising space and has established itself as the industry leader,” said Ted Murphy, chief executive officer of PayPerPost. “Although we’ve only used a portion of our first round capital, this added support from investors unlocks significant growth potential. Our content creator and advertiser ROI metrics clearly demonstrate the upside for PayPerPost’s model. We intend to use this capital to build the infrastructure, visibility and professional expertise necessary to reach and retain a greater network of advertisers and content creators than ever before.”

Since its founding in June of 2006, PayPerPost has signed more than 6,500 advertisers to its groundbreaking service, which has enabled Consumer Content Creators to be compensated for their efforts discussing specific companies, products or services via blogs, videos or other media. The content creators are required to disclose relationships with advertisers on their blog, providing transparency for the end reader. Over 125,000 Internet postings, most in the form of blogs, have already earned money for their creators through PayPerPost’s innovative marketplace. PayPerPost recently released PayPerPost Direct, a disruptive new service that allows advertisers to contract and negotiate directly with individual bloggers they identify through a safe, managed system.

“PayPerPost has laid a strong foundation for the future,” noted Tim Draper, founder and managing director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson. “It continues to attract a critical mass of participants from both the advertising and blogging communities. Analogous to Overture’s sponsored search model, we believe PayPerPost’s business model holds disruptive potential and will enable the company to thrive in the evolving paid-content arena.”

To mark the $7 million dollar funding, PayPerPost has launched a new website detailing the company’s service offering at http://www.payperpost.com. Bloggers and advertisers can easily sign up at the site and begin leveraging the self service marketplace.

CREATING PERFECT RELATIONSHIPS?

A person visited the government matchmaker for marriage, SDU, and requested "I am looking for a spouse. Please help me to find a suitable one." The SDU officer said, "Your requirements, please." "Oh, good looking, polite, humorous , sporty, knowledgeable, good in singing and dancing. Willing to accompany me the whole day at home during my leisure hour, if I don't go out. Telling me interesting stories when I need companion for conversation and be silent when I want to rest." The officer listened carefully and replied, "I understand you need television."

There is a saying that a perfect match can only be found between a blind wife and a deaf husband ,because the blind wife cannot see the faults of the husband and the deaf husband cannot hear the nagging of the wife. Many couples are blind and deaf at the courting stage and dream of perpetual perfect relationship. Unfortunately, when the excitement of love wears off, they wake up and discover that marriage is not a bed of roses. The nightmare begins.

Few more days...
Few more days and my parents, together with my younger bro, will be here!! This is the time I have been waiting for. This is the fruit of my hard work! I have been working with their papers for almost 6 years now. I have been fighting with the embassy in Manila long enough that this is so tiring just to even discuss the status of it. I guess, they are tired of my whining too:) hehehe...well, it's finally over, and we are just counting the days now.
It's kinda hard for them I think. Changing your life all of sudden is certainly a big step to take. It's not that easy and it's not that fun. There will be times when you are really bored and you are really missing what you are used to. But as you gain friends and gain some level of owning your little nest, you will become comfortable with the place and with what you are doing. Then you will miss less and less, remembering almost just the happy days, of that old life.
I hope they will be happy here. I am certainly sure that it will be good for my younger bro here. It will be hard at first, but we will take it one day at a time:)

Vacation plans
I have promised my son Arvin I will take him to Universal Studio's Theme Parks whatever happens. I have been dreaming of going there all my life. It was kinda impossible when you live in southeast asia, but now that we are up here in Canada, there's a really big chance we can do that!
I came across a site that sells cheap, discounted tickets. Child Admission for ages 3 to 9 for one day and BOTH Parks at the Universal Orlando Resort for only $ 59.11. This ticket gives you UNLIMITED Park-to-Park Access All Day Long to BOTH Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure Theme Parks. Weather you have a small family or big, getting your discounted tickets here is a really good idea, so why not get the Cheap Universal Studios Tickets before you go? it'll save you tons of money you can spend on much important and memorable stuff while you're there!

today's ramblings

I have the day off today. Didn't do much but chat with lil sis most of the day. I woke up around 10 am and have my coffee and toast. I was chatting with my bro back home for a couple of hours while watching a documentary on tv that I recorded last night. It was about the Philippines, about how some American troupes are there to help trained military forces down southern Philippines on how to combat. There were some officials who are very optimistic about it because it will help aide the country but some are really against it because they are saying that they are just using this to gain some place in the Philippines again to build another base. I am not really sure what to think about this. I just find it interesting to watch.

we started our day a little slow last weekend. it's was so tiring and not much to do, it was just so hot to do anything else! men, I don't know what to ask sometimes, hehehe..when it's cold, I complain, and when it's hot, I do the same. Well, Arvin went for sleep over again, we waited for him to come home and we we're gonna decide on what to do then. I was thinking of going to the city and going to one of the museum there, but John doesn't wann go there, so we end up deciding to go to wildlife park. Lil sis first visit there! i think she enjoyed looking at the wild animals, but most of all, enjoyed posing to the camera!!! hehehe

I am actually amazed about Bloggerwave. They are not that strict. It is so easy to get a blog approved by them, even if your blog is not that old. I have submitted my blog and the next day it was approved! They are just new, but they are actually beginning to be on top. I like their system and I hope they will keep up the good work..I would like to thank my blogger sisters, especially Nita, Emz and Haze for congratulating me! Thanks guys!

Wine
About 4 years ago, my friend and I went into making our own wine. I put some money and we divided the first batch we made. It turned out really good. I have few bottles of cherry and some peach. I love the cherry most. I have been a fan of wine since then. My sis and I went out to buy some wine yesterday from the store. It's always nice to have wine in the house. But what good is the wine if you don't have a good wine opener? Well, check this out! wineopeners.com has a lot of varieties of wine openers at great low prices. They also have a lot of gift ideas to choose from. Father's day is coming very soon, it's a really great idea to give him one of those. Or if you really wanna impress someone, try and have it embossed with your name or your company's name, that's great for your business. They really carry a lot of ideas to give away for birthdays, anniversaries, or corporate functions, it would be a great keepsake! They also provide wine gifts and boxed sets along with handy accessories that can make opening wine bottles a little easier.

BE PATIENT

This is a true story which happened in the States. A man came out of his home to admire his new truck. To his puzzlement, his three-year-old son was happily hammering dents into the shiny paint of the truck. The man ran to his son, knocked him away, hammered the little boy's hands into pulp as punishment. When the father calmed down, he rushed his son to the hospital.

Although the doctor tried desperately to save the crushed bones, he finally had to amputate the fingers from both the boy's hands. When the boy woke up from the surgery & saw his bandaged stubs, he innocently said, " Daddy,I'm sorry about your truck." Then he asked, "but when are my fingers going to grow back?" The father went home & committed suicide.

Think about this story the next time someone steps on your feet or u wish to take revenge. Think first before u lose your patience with someone u love. Trucks can be repaired.. Broken bones & hurt feelings often can't. Too often we fail to recognize the difference between the person and the performance. We forget that forgiveness is greater than revenge.

People make mistakes. We are allowed to make mistakes. But the actions we take while in a rage will haunt us forever.

RIGHT SPEECH

There is a Chinese saying which carries the meaning that "A speech will either prosper or ruin a nation." Many relationships break off because of wrong speech. When a couple is too close with each other,we always forget mutual respect and courtesy. We may say anything without considering if it would hurt the other party.

A friend and her millionaire husband visited their construction site. A worker who wore a helmet saw her and shouted,"Hi, Emily! Remember me? We used to date in the secondary school." On the way home, her millionaire husband teased her, "Luckily you married me.Otherwise you will be the wife of a construction worker." She answered ,"You should appreciate that you married me. Otherwise, he will be the millionaire and not you."

Frequently exchanging these remarks plants the seed for a bad relationship. It's like a broken egg - cannot be reversed.

Trip to the woods
We were up and about early yesterday. My son was picked up by a friend to go camping up in the woods. This is his first time going away on a trip like this. I was kinda hesitant to say yes to his request, but I got convinced anyways. I am confident that the father of his buddy will take good care of them.We went out to pick up some snacks he could take with him on Friday, packed up his sleeping bag and clothes and some necessities. He was really excited about this trip. I was told they are going to have some barn fire, go fishing and take some trips to the woods. I think he's gonna like it. They should be here by dinnertime:)

Currency
I needed $40US to send to the Philippines. I wanted to send this inside in an envelop. I had some paperwork to send, and wanted to slip some hard cash inside. I know I am not allowed to do this. It's not safe. But I do it anyways. So far, nothing had got stolen yet. I got the letter sent last week. And I am really hoping that this will also arrived to the Philippines safely, same as the letters I have send before this. Well, I was really glad that I only paid $2.42 cad for the $40US I bought in the bank($40us=$42.42cad). This is really good for me because I send on a regular basis. Right now, it's 1 USD = 1.06040 CAD. It's almost 1=1!!!

Art

THEME: ART

I have been looking for a photo with art...I had hard time doing so. Good thing I found one:).. well, this is a photo of my son, holding his ever first oil painting. He was very proud holding it up, I mean I was really proud, hehehe...well, it's kinda hard to get a photo of him anymore especially when girls are around. This is just a very quick shot. I found a spot in the hall where no one else was there.

Still Unsure...
I am still unsure for what to do in life. I have been working in a job where it pays my bills alright, I can fit getaways once in awhile and I can buy some extra unneeded stuff. But I wake up in the morning, feeling sick, thinking I have to go back to that miserable place. But what can I do, places like these are hard to find. The bad thing about it is, the more years you put into this place, the more money you have and the more time offs you'll get. Being here awhile just got me even stuck more. The only thing I could think that would help me out of the place is to go back to school. It's always not that late. It always inspire me watching people do get further education. Always an inspiration. I still haven't lose hope. Capella University , is one of those places that offers online education. It's probably best for me to go back to school this way. At least I don't have to stop my work while going back to school. This school is an accredited, online university that offers graduate degree programs in business, information technology, education, human services, public safety, and psychology, and bachelor’s degree programs in business, information technology, and public safety.

Sometimes, I wonder if this things really happened to some people. Oh well, all I know is I really enjoyed watching the movie, I kinda think that you'll never going to know what will happened in the next minute, so always try and let someone u love feels that you really love them:)

NO OVERPOWERING

Many relationships fail because one party tries to overpower another,or demands too much. People in love tend to think that love will conquer all and their spouses will change the bad habits after marriage. Actually, this is not the case. There is a Chinese saying which carries the meaning that "It is easier to reshape a mountain or a river than a person's character."

It is not easy to change. Thus, having high expectation on changing the spouse character will cause disappointment and unpleasantness.

It would be less painful to change ourselves and lower our expectations..

Miss U

I have seen the last part of Miss U the other night. So annoying because it's one of my favorite shows ever. I have seen the top 10, then to top 5. I know everybody knows now that Miss Japan won the title. Is it their first? As I was watching the top 5, I felt like the pageant has lost it's charisma. I am not sure if Miss Japan really deserves to win. I am not really sure how they based their votes anymore.I remember the time when there was a final q and a for the last 3 girls, where they are asked one and the same question, while the 2 other contestants are put into a sound proof box. They don't have that anymore. This is not the only thing I noticed. It's like they are in a hurry or something. I don't like it anymore.

Going away?

It's that time of the year again, summer is here and bookings for vacations at work are getting hectic. I have booked mine already and hope that I would be able to get it so it would be the same time as hubby. I am kinda new where I work right now and I don't have the seniority I need to just booked my vacation, that's why I have booked mine in advance, I should know this by Monday. Boy, I am just hoping our plans will happen. We are looking at going to Ontario this year. Had promised my son to stop by Moncton for a day or two on the way. Of course, there will be hotel reservations when this day will come. I found this Hotel Reservation online. A lot of deals on hotel reservations, vacation rentals, and other worldwide destinations. They have great and competitive prices and offers great discounts. So make sure you guys, visit them in your next plan. Why not use the savings you'll sure get for something more valuable?

I have also found out that if you like traveling with a group of your friends, you can get a group rate and that is a really big savings. I have checked www.hotelreservations.com prices and booking in group, like going in a cruise, is really a fun way and cheaper way to go. Imagine going away with the whole gang? it could be a reunion trip, or just a trip with another couple? Why pay more for your accommodation and trips when you can save, and you can use your savings for buying stuff while you're away to remember that place, right?
