LO CHALLENGE

It's been awhile since I made a scrap for challenges. I came across Agring's blog and saw that there was an on going challenge. I didn't know about this until this week,( i guess, i wasn't visiting her that much! hehehe..sorry girl!)..I saw and I love the prize, so i thought i would scrap one, the deadline is this friday, March 02, 2007 @ 12 midnight- US time. I really wanted to participate even if I only make at least one LO. I was alone tonight so I started putting together elements and photos into my ever loyal, macromedia fireworks! I couldn't find any new photo of me and hubby, so i have to use this old one again! hehehe....well, I was able to make 2 tonight, w/c is surprising. Of course, these LOs are very simple, no time to put a lot of elements in them, Anyways, for full contest rule, check Agring's blog,here!

TUESDAY'S RAMBLING

As you can see, I have changed the look of my blog again:) I have been doing bits of it for the last few days now as one of my avid reader hates that pink one:) hehehe( you know who you are!)..well, it was my very first pink theme because i usually go for the 'manly' colour. It was valentine's, so i decided i will go with the pink. I was bored with it after awhile too, so here it is again, new one! I was browsing the templates around, but couldn't decide which one i will choose.There's a lot of choices out there! Because of that, i just decided to changed the background colour and made the page a little bigger, and also made a different header. So here we are:)

Not much happened on the weekend neither, still trying to get the cheapest airfare for my little sister. I have checked on-line and around here and they are pretty much the same price. I told her not to hurry and enjoy the heat over there so she is not so pressured in her travel and will enjoy the Philippines for a little bit more. She is very excited though. She is in Manila right now, but she will go back to Davao City in a couple of weeks to join the family before leaving the Philippines. I am thinking, she should be here by first week of April if all goes well.

John and I have been working hard, extra hard, this days to compensate the airfare and anything extra we will need to get my family over. It's a hard work but if I think of the reward it will bring, it always eases the load. We sort of lead a boring routine. Every Monday, girls at work would ask: "so what exciting thing did you do on the weekend?"...my reply would always be: "nothing!".(then changed the subject!hehehe)...well, it's true! But being with both of them on the weekend is very satisfying for me, especially with Arvin. I have been neglecting him quite a bit. I feel that all the time. I really do. It's like I am a bad mom to him. Although, he would present me with perfect scores in his quizzes even though I haven't been helping him in his school work. I am just hoping he hadn't throw all the lower-marked ones! hehehehe...

Well, a lot of my friends are "on-line friends" nowadays. I don't know where my friends here anymore, don't know where everybody is! it's been awhile since I have talked to anyone of them. They are hesitant to call me now because I work a rotating shift, which is very annoying, one reason also that I am not home during night time to help Arvin in his homework. Hopefully we'll get-together again, the weather seems to be warming up!

I was stunned by this video regarding stolen identity! I am not that pretty for my photos to be stolen randomly, ngek!!!hehehe... but who knows, right? as Chris says here, "what course of action would you take???"

VALENTINE DATES

Since Valentine's was in the middle of the week, we decided to celebrate it in our own little way on the weekend after. Hubby was working on nights, so my boy and I decided to go on a date without daddy. We went to a movie and watched Bridge to Terabithia.

Arvin totally loved the movie, it really fit his style. Bridge to Terabithia is a fantasy/adventure story of friendship,family and the power of imagination. I felt so bad because Arvin insists on buying the popcorn and drinks himself, "since it's valentine's, mom...this is my treat!"...he's very sweet. Not very often he will open up his wallet.

Saturday morning, I was awaken by my cellphone ringing. It was my sister, trying to contact me ASAP daw. So I phoned her back thinking what in the world would it be????. She was just excited to tell me that finally, she is allowed to come over! She just got the good news friday morning there, but didn;t phone me until later on.Finally, I would be able to see her again after all those load of paper works to do. I am so excited!!!

Sunday was a little slow here, we decided to go out for a few hours to eat out as again, a celebration of our little valentine, nothing much to say about that:)...I got some flowers and mostly chocolates, but little did they know that most of those chocolates will go to my balikbayan box! hehehehe...overall, our weekend was really cool, one of those weekends worth remembering!

VALENTINE

Valentine's day is fast approaching, as usual, hubby and I doesn't celebrate this day big time, tama na sa amin ang kumain sa labas or be alone at home watching tv. Since this year's valentine's day is in the middle of the week, we will probably hit the 'wine 'n dine' on the weekend, who knows?..well, in the spirit of this love-vi-da-vi day, I made a little video and a little scrap to remember this loveday:)

SANA MAULIT MULI

I have been following a teleserye, "Sana Maulit Muli" , for the past 2-3 weeks now. It stars Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson.I got glued with it when one of the gals from Bisdak Planet post it there. I just click this very first episode and then I wasn't able to stop since then. I am like a young teenager again! hehehehe. i am very greatful to brokensonnet2 for uploading all the episodes everyday in youtube. I check her site every 2-3 days to catch up with the latest episode. Nakakaloka na talaga ito! hayyy na lang! hehehe..........if you are interested, subscribe to her site and check out the very start up to date of this teleserye. To date, we are now on episode 25 ^-^

LAST FEW DAYS

I actually wrote this on Sunday!!!!!!

SPRING IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER:

According to Sam, spring is just around the corner! yey!! Every 2nd of Feb, our groundhog, Sam, who lives in shubenacadie's wildlife park, is the first to make the prediction weather we'll have an early spring or not. This year, he did not saw his shadow, w/c means spring is just around the corner.
Shadow means 6 More Weeks of Winter. No Shadow means an Early Spring.

OUR BORING DAYS:
Nothing much happen again this week. As usual, we went to work and did our weekly routine. Now that I write this down, it's actually pretty boring!(if u think of it!)hahahaha....I wonder how you could make life interesting when all you do is work, then come home, eat, sleep and then do it again the next day.And maybe on the weekend, do some window shopping or really shop and then get some groceries. Although it seemed like it's the same over and over again, I just don't have the time to think that it's actually boring until I write this post.Dami ko kasi iniisip. This is really weird because I am actually writing what's actually in my mind right now. Hahahaha...weird!
Well, let's see what had happened that I think is worth jotting down here so I can read it again in the years to come and find it to be really silly! hahahaha...Arvin spent the last 2 weekends in his friend's house. Friday night until sunday afternoon. How could I say no to that????hehehehe...We normally switch weekends but unfortunately, I worked friday night,so I was hoping to sleep most of the day on saturday, so both sides have decided that they will take Arvin again. I did sleep most of saturday, then John and I went to the mall and went out to eat. We planned on picking Arvin up midday sunday, when the friend's mom phoned and said they were on their way to drop arvin off.

I made a bunch of spring rolls to put in the freezer ready when needed. I normally do this when I am in the mood. It's very easy, it's just the preparation that I don't like. But it's really nice to have them ready in case I crave for it or if we have some unexpected visitors.

That sums up my boring days.

I am really busy nowadays, so to those who pass by here and leave some comments, I really, truly appreciate them. Unfortunately for me, i can't keep up with all of your guys' sites and blogs.So sorry talaga if I can't/didn't visit your place, talagang busy ako, catch up na lang ako sa inyo. So sorry talaga, don't worry sa susunod na long weekend, i think that would be in March or April(easter, yey!hehehe), ang layo pa noon, but that would be my only long weekend again. Iba talaga pagnag-work ka, u can't just get out for a month or so from work, very routine ang schedule mo, hay na lang, ang buhay ng mahirap! hehehehe...anways, you guys, like I said, so sorry talaga.
